I called Paul to examine two rings I bought from a new jeweler. I wanted to confirm that they were as described when purchased. Paul was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He explained the pre and post-lab-grown diamond market, the process of creating lab-grown diamonds, and how appraisals work. He could have recommended a full appraisal but was honest and fair and also explained why, in this case, it wasn’t necessary. After examining my rings and using sophisticated machinery, Paul verified that while they were good quality, one small stone was not as represented. I appreciated Paul’s wealth of knowledge, fairness, and the fact that he chose to give the benefit of the doubt to the original jeweler and not slander them.
